Greater audience and circulation makes Sunday the best day to run your ad. Including additional days increases your ad's exposure.

Will my ad appear Online? and where?

Help Wanted ads will run and be searchable on Monster.com. Other employment ads can be found on providencejournal.com's Jobs page. General Merchandise, Auction, Yard Sales, Pets, etc will be searchable and run on providencejournal.com's web site.

What if I want to make changes to my ad?

If you are building your ad, use the Previous button to go back and make changes. If you have already committed your ad, contact one of our Advertising Sales Representatives at 401-277-7730 to make changes. Changes after Deadline or once the ad has started to run are only made to correct errors.

Can I contact someone to assist me with wording and scheduling?

What if I forget my login and password?

Send an email to adbilling@providencejournal.com requesting a new password.  Please include your account number and name.  If you are a business, also include your company name.  We will reply to the email address used with your request as soon as possible.  If you prefer to be contacted by phone, please provide your phone number.

Can I manipulate the information within the ad, ie: type size, bold, etc?

Yes, depending on your choice of package and ad style.

What if I need proof of publication?

An order confirmation will be generated once the ad is committed.  This confirmation can be printed.

Employment Ads: Job Title/Sort Word

Most often the sort word will be the same as the job title (ex. Carpenter, Waitstaff). However, for some widely used job titles, you may want to sort your centered or bordered ad under the type of business (ex. Education, Medical). We list Sort Words alphabetically.

Employment Ads: This area is typically used to list the method of applying for the position which may include more than one way to apply. This area may also be used to include your "EOE" statement, if needed.

Automotive: General Notes

List only one vehicle per ad. The first field must be Make, the second – Year, and the third - Model (this is how ads are Sorted in the paper). Auto dealers must identify themselves within the ad and include their license number. Check the list of Valid Abbreviations on the left side of the AdOrder page. If your car is sold and you want the ad to stop being printed, please call 277-7730. There will be no rebates on charges for ads stopped early.

The lot size must be entered as a number (2, 2.5, 129). If the lot is less than one acre, the number must be entered with a leading zero. For example, 0.5, 0.25, 0.3.
